"Pirates of Kannaraville" - Girls Camp 2011
In July we had girls camp on Kannara Mountain. I didn't get pictures of all our activities, only when we were at the cabin. The first day we tubed down the Virgin River and it was really fun. We then drove back to Santa Clara because we had an assignment for Baptisms for the Dead. After that we headed up to Kannara Mountain, which is above Kannaraville. We stayed in a cabin which was so much better than being in tents!! The next day we drove back down into Kannaraville and hiked the Kannaraville Falls. I wish I would have had my camera, but you are hiking in and out of water and waterfalls. It was such an amazing hike. You'd never know that those falls were there. We then drove back up to the cabin and had dinner and spent the night. The next day was just a relaxing day. We did play a fun game outside. We filled cut up nylon socks with flour. We then divided the YW into two teams and told them they needed to "be defenders of truth". When the flour balls hit the girls it would leave some flour on them. It was pretty fun to watch, but we should have given a few more rules. At the end it was getting a little out of hand! After that the girls did some crafts and we played games and just had a great time. That night the Bishopric came up and had dinner with us along with our testimony meeting. I love having camp on a ward level. It is so much more relaxed and you get to spend so much time with the YW.
