Soak City Water Park

My children thought I needed to go down this crazy, scary, slide, called the Pacific Spin, with them.
S0 Stef, Nick, Bryson, and I all rode down together in this big yellow tube!
Well, they all got a good laugh because I was screaming the whole time and never did open my eyes!
After you come out of the slide you go into this thing that looks like a giant funnel and you just go back and forth up the sides of this funnel.
It wasn't until we got out of the slide part that I finally opened my eyes.
As you can see they were all laughing at their mom, who was scared to death and screamed the whole time.
 Kids are laughing...
 laughing...
 laughing...
 laughing...
and we finally end up in the pool at the end of the ride. What an adrenalin rush. They tried to get me to go on it again, but I said "NO THANKS!"

Soak City Water Park

One day we headed down to the Soak City Water Park in San Diego. I don't know who had more fun, the grandkids or the adults!!

Disneyland

Nick, Abby, Bentley and Nixon and Bryson, Kristen and Addie and Stefanie all went to Disneyland. We stayed back at the beach house and tended Grayson. Josh and Mickell and their kids spent the day in Balboa, so it was pretty quiet at the beach house!

Oceanside Beach House - August 2011

One day the girls all went shopping and to lunch at PF Chang's. Then of course all the guys thought they needed a guy day, so they all went up to Newport to look at cars and did a little shopping themselves. We played games, sat in the hot tub and played on the beach some more!!

Oceanside Beach House - August 2011

We spent a week in Oceanside at a beach house. Everyone was there. All sixteen of us! We had such a great time. It is so fun when we can all get together. We spent some time on the beach, some went to Disneyland, some spent the day in Balboa. We all went to Soak City in San Diego. And we had family pictures on the beach. I can't wait to see how they turn out!!

Laurel's Temple Trip - August 2011

We took the Laurels from our ward on a trip to Salt Lake City to do some Baptisms for the Dead. We went to the Jordon River, Oquirrh Mountain, Salt Lake City and Mount Timpanogos Temples. We also did alot of the tours on Temple Square. We had a great time and the girls loved it. We just might have to make this an annual Laurels Trip!

Stefanie's 21st Birthday

Wow, I can't believe my little baby girl is 21 years old!! For Stefanie's birthday we went to Samurai 21 for dinner. We then went home so she could open her presents. Some of her friends came by for pie and ice cream and then they had a "whipping cream catching contest". Crazy kids, but we love you Stefanie and we are so happy you came to live at our house!!!

Ryker's 2nd Birthday

Ryker had his 2nd birthday party in Pine Valley at his Grandma and Grandpa Hafen's cabin. It was so nice to get out of the hot weather and enjoy the coolness of the mountains. I can't believe Ryker is already 2 years old. Where has the time gone? He is such a fun little boy to watch. He just makes me smile!!

"Pirates of Kannaraville" - Girls Camp 2011

In July we had girls camp on Kannara Mountain. I didn't get pictures of all our activities, only when we were at the cabin. The first day we tubed down the Virgin River and it was really fun. We then drove back to Santa Clara because we had an assignment for Baptisms for the Dead. After that we headed up to Kannara Mountain, which is above Kannaraville. We stayed in a cabin which was so much better than being in tents!! The next day we drove back down into Kannaraville and hiked the Kannaraville Falls. I wish I would have had my camera, but you are hiking in and out of water and waterfalls. It was such an amazing hike. You'd never know that those falls were there. We then drove back up to the cabin and had dinner and spent the night. The next day was just a relaxing day. We did play a fun game outside. We filled cut up nylon socks with flour. We then divided the YW into two teams and told them they needed to "be defenders of truth". When the flour balls hit the girls it would leave some flour on them. It was pretty fun to watch, but we should have given a few more rules. At the end it was getting a little out of hand! After that the girls did some crafts and we played games and just had a great time. That night the Bishopric came up and had dinner with us along with our testimony meeting. I love having camp on a ward level. It is so much more relaxed and you get to spend so much time with the YW.

In July Grandma and Grandpa Teerlink had a Family BBQ at their house. Stefanie and I drove up so we could see everyone. Michelle was in town, from Michigan, with Zack and her new baby, Caroline. Jeff and James stopped by along with their sister Jackie and her husband Colby and their new little boy, Colter. It was fun to see everyone!! Thanks Mom for planning it and getting us all together!!
